This has been my philosophy forever, but you've done a much better job of explaining it. When people can't understand why I'm not outraged when someone lets me down, I struggle to tell them where I'm coming from. So I've started by sharing this with one of my best friends, and expect that he will share it with others! Sandy from The Nature of Us Substack

Great piece. What is your favorite book on this topic Kevin?

Thanks, Ian. Oh, that's a hard question. The first that comes to mind is The Power of Now (for its accessibility). I also like You Are the Happiness You Seek by Rupert Spira.

I’m presently learning more and more around the topics of inner work like this. Thank you for such clear insights.

I think the kind of inner work you mention is, ultimately, the only work worth doing because it's the only thing that can help us live free.

Beautifully expressed. It is certainly awesome to send out messages to the universe about what we hope to have in our life while we appreciate what we already have. Saying yes to more of something wonderful is very different from attachment to an outcome.

SO MUCH YES. Goals, desires, and aspirations are the living breathing expressions of our creative spirit, expanding through our freedom to be who we are. Nicely done and I will be restacking!
