Nearly every morning, I walk on a trail near my house as a kind of moving meditation. Today, I recorded a simple instructional audio on the three-phase method I use.
It’s very simple:
Start walking at your normal pace. As you walk, soften your field of vision as you begin to pay attention to your surroundings. See, don’t simply look.
After 5 minutes, cut your walking pace in half. Slow down and, as you do, pay even more attention to your surroundings—the perceptions, feelings, and happenings of life.
After 5 minutes, cut your pace in half again. As you do, see how much of your experience you can notice. Look around your feet, over your head, everywhere.
I invite you to join me on this short experiment. All you need is 15-minutes and a place to walk. Listen to this as you walk to get the gist, and then go try it on your own.
